BIRD WATCHING
Due to the location of the Azorean archipelago, close to 400 American and European birds can be found here, making it an interesting destination for birdwatchers of all nationalities. More than 33 species of birds nest in the Azores, many of which are endemic subspecies, meaning they cannot be found anywhere else in the world. To get the most out of your visit and to maximize your bird encounters we recommend at lest 4 day on the different ecotypes of Pico.
